Question by Shane Miller: What does this makeup marking mean?
My sister put 3 black dots above each of her eyes.
They are horizontal in a row under her eyebrow, but above her eyelashes.
They are black and made of eyeliner.
She is emo/gothic so it could be anything.
She refuses to tell my family what it means and she wiped it off when we noticed them.
Pleasseeee helpp!!!!

maybe she thought that it looked nice, and because you asked her what they were therefore she felt embarrassed and wiped them off?

makeup, is soooo WIDE that maybe she just likes the dots, but how old is your sister because the symbol behind three dots usually …. im not saying anything bad about ur sister..but… dots put on or by a eye,… usually mean ” MY CRAZY LIFE” and typically it is typically a gang related symbol. So that could be why she whipped the makeup off, typically the ones that do this are young;
You are seriously overreacting. It doesn’t mean anything. She was probably just experimenting with makeup designs, and really, that’s a make-up design that I have seen all over the net. I myself have done it as part of a self-portrait, and for the record, I’m Christian.

It is not a gang symbol, either, for crying out loud. The three dots symbol is most commonly seen as a prison tattoo. It is normally tattooed on the hand (not on the face) and it stands for “death to cops”. Unless your sister has ever been to prison, or has a deep hatred for cops, I think you’re totally in the clear.
